The Queensbury Department of Parks & Recreation offers Lap swimming for Adults (18 & Over) on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at Queensbury Elementary School Pool during the school year (September to early April) in conjuction with scheduled Aquaerobic programming dates. I encourage you to call Gurney Lane (51) in advance and use your own judgment. If the forecast and thunder storms are severe enough, lessons may be cancelled entirely for the day. If weather conditions worsen, we then try to conduct Safety Day Activities (videos, poster boards, activity sheets). The Bathhouse includes restrooms, heated showers and clothing hooks. The pool consists of 6 competition lap lanes with end-wall and bottom “T” markings, an easily accessible shallow end and diving well, with a 1 meter diving board and nine (9’) foot children’s slide. Inclement weather conditions may result in closure. Post season hours, late August to Labor Day are 11:00-6:00 p.m. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. Children ages 12 & under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 & Over). During the Summer Months (Late June to Labor Day) Gurney Lane Pool is Open for Recreational use to all patrons, holding a Gurney Lane Season Pass or paying an admission fee.
